Talk Summary:

Faster Code faster. You want your code to run as fast as it can and you need to get it to do so as fast as YOU can. Getting to results quick for big data analytics, image analysis, time-critical financial analysis, and simulations is always the task at hand. Intel® Parallel Studio XE 2016 is a software development suite that helps boost application performance by taking advantage of the ever-increasing processor core count and wider vectors available in Intel® Xeon® processors, Intel® Xeon Phi™ coprocessors and compatible processors. In this presentation, we’ll cover the latest vectorization (both AVX and SIMD instructions) support in the Intel® Compilers and analysis tools such as Intel® Advisor XE, which helps you thread and vectorize your application. We’ll also touch on how performance libraries such as Intel® Math Kernel Library & our new data analytics package: Intel® Data Analytics Acceleration Library helps you speed up your applications. Optimizing serial and parallel codes is never an easy task but with our latest performance profilers enabling large-scale MPI profiling and node-level profiling for performance optimizations you will be well on your way with deeper insights into your application.

Gergana Slavova works as a technical consulting engineer at Intel's Software and Services Group. She specializes in the high performance computing area, where she provides technical expertise and training for a suite of MPI and cluster development tools.
